Poornathi is the set of items offered during a homam. This comes in three counts — 27, 54 or 108 — so it can be matched to the scale of the ritual your priest is performing.

How it is used

Poornathi is used across most types of homam — Ayushya Homam, Griha Pravesh, marriage ceremonies and others. Which count is required depends on the specific ritual and on the priest conducting it, and requirements differ by sampradaya and region. Confirm the count with your priest before ordering rather than choosing by price.

About the contents

These are natural materials, assembled by hand into sets. Appearance and exact composition vary a little between batches. Quantities are counted rather than weighed.

Your priest decides this, based on the type of homam and its scale. It is not a quality difference between the options.

What is the difference between yellow and gold?
Finish only. Some households have a preference; where yours does not, either is used.

Do I need anything else for the homam?

How should I store it before the ritual?
Sealed, dry and away from damp and direct sunlight.

How far ahead should I order?
Two weeks before the ritual date, which leaves room for courier delays.
